Abstract

In the previous chapters, we’ve concentrated on automating the build process to optimize our assets and ensure that they meet certain quality standards. In this chapter, we’ll focus on optimizing your Grunt workflow itself. As projects grow, they typically become less maintainable, unless some attention is given to improve the maintainability. Your Grunt workflow is no different. As you start to use Grunt to perform more tasks within a project, you may start to feel that your Gruntfile is becoming a little unwieldy. Over the next few sections, I’ll introduce techniques to ensure that as your project grows, your Grunt tasks remain understandable and fast.
