Abstract
Harkavy’s book on “curbing population growth” is a clear, original, and informative account of the current state of the population of the world, of the different trends in different segments of the world, of the factors establishing and sustaining these trends, of the causes and consequences of population change, of the organizations that have undertaken the analysis of population trends, and of the formulation and execution of policies to modify the course of population developments.
