Abstract
In the general framework of metabolic control theory (Kacser & Bums, 1973; Heinrich & Rapoport, 1974), Reder (1986, 1988) has described a general method that provides a way of analysing the sensitivity of a metabolic system to perturbation of the environment or of its internal state. This method extends and generalizes the matrix method proposed by Fell & Sauro (1985) and Westerhoff & Chen (1984).
