Application of Maximum Entropy Methods to NMR Spectra of Proteins

Abstract

Maximum Entropy Processing (MaxEnt) has proven to be a serious alternative to Fourier transform for the processing of NMR data sets1–4. However, use of MaxEnt processing of protein NMR spectra presents several difficulties that this paper intends to address. Examples using the GIFA algorithm are shown which include lorentzian deconvolution of 1D and 2D spectra of proteins, J-deconvolution of 2D COSY experiments, lorentzian deconvolution, and truncation artifact reduction of homonuclear 3D spectra.
