Abstract
Each day tens of millions of men and women from every social stratum commute between home and work in the United States and most other industrialized countries. This morning and evening ritual involves billions of person hours every year, has wide-ranging implications for the way business is conducted, and impacts on the physical and psychological health of workers and their families.
