Quantum Dynamics of the Dissipative Jaynes-Cummings Model Toward Thermal Equilibrium

The Jaynes-Cummings (J-C) model [1] in the rotating wave approximation is one of the few exactly solvable quantum coupled systems. A two-level atom interacts with a single mode photon field near resonance. To describe the dissipative J-C model, the usual treatment couples two independent dissipative systems [2]. However, this kind of treatment cannot give the canonical distribution of the coupled system in thermal equilibrium [3].
