Semiconductor Cavity QED in High-Q Regime

Abstract

In this paper recent theoretical and experimental investigations on semiconductor cavity QEDs in high-Q regimes are reviewed. The linear dispersion characteristics (including normal mode splitting and reversible spontaneous emission) and suppressed phonon scattering rates of a microcavity exciton-polariton are described; an exciton-polariton laser (boser) operation via phonon-assisted final-state stimulation is discussed; and dressed-boson, dressed-fermion, and dressed-quoin concepts are introduced and compared with the experimental nonlinear dressed-exciton spectra.
