Abstract
We have been interested in the coherence properties of spontaneous and stimulated down-conversion light. We verified that the spontaneous downconversion behaves as a spatially incoherent light source. Its transverse coherence properties are described by classical coherence theory.1 We have also shown that the stimulated downconversion has transverse coherence properties that can be controlled by the intensity of the auxiliary stimulating laser.2
