Abstract
We consider a system of two coupled lasers, such that the light generated by the first one is injected into the second. The corresponding experimental arrangement is shown in Fig. 1. Both lasers have just one output (or input) port (semi-transparent mirror with high reflectivity). The active media are assumed to be constituted by two-level atoms (upper level |a〉 and lower level |b〉, in resonance with the cavity mode, and excited at times t j . The statistical distribution of these excitation times is allowed to range from regular to Poissonian.
