Abstract
This research was conducted to test two hypotheses. The first hypothesis tested was that a difference exists in the developmental level reflected in the dream content of “normal” adolescents on the one hand and emotionally disturbed adolescents on the other. The second hypothesis tested was that adolescents with more severe emotional disturbances will reflect a greater delay or more immature level of developmental functioning in their dream content than those with less severe emotional disturbances. Only adolescents were used in the study because of the greater reliability in dream recall they provide.
