Abstract

Acid depositions have caused severe damage to the forest ecosystems of Poland, due to the direct effects on the vegetation and changes to the forest soil. The development of these forested areas depends on the emission of air pollutants, their transport in the atmosphere, and their deposition on vegetation and soil.
