Abstract
Bovine Venereal Campylobacteriosis (BVC, formerly “Vibriosis”) is caused by C fetus subsp venerealis, an obligate parasite of the genital mucosa. It is a venereally transmitted, infectious disease of cattle causing infertility and on occasions abortion. The other subspecies, C fetus subsp fetus, causes sporadic abortions but is not usually associated with infertility.
