Abstract

Campylobacter (Vibrio) fetus fetus is well recognised as an important cause of abortion in sheep3, being the third most commonly diagnosed cause of ovine abortion7. C. fetus fetus has been isolated from cases of ovine abortion, and can also be demonstrated in the gastrointestinal tract of clinically normal sheep5.
