Abstract
This chapter on nickel chemistry is designed for readers with only a weak background in inorganic chemistry; hence, my treatment of this enormous field is necessarily superficial. Those interested in a more detailed discussion are referred to the excellent review by Saconni et al. (1987) and other references cited below.
