Abstract
Moral judgment and its development were the research issues that led to the longitudinal study of men that has been explored in this book. In Chapter 1 the findings of Kohlberg and his collaborators concerning moral judgment and its transformations over time were described and evaluated. In brief, the contribution of this line of research to an understanding of development has been enormous.
