Abstract

Ever since the “bold new approach” (1963) launched by President Kennedy with the support of the American Psychiatric Association, the National Institute of Mental Health, and numerous other organizations, we have become increasingly conscious of the larger community in which mental health service organizations are imbedded and on which they depend for their viability and success.
