Abstract
In this paper, an experiment apChapautus was designed and constructed. Oscillating flow characteristics and pressure drops of regenerators in a high frequency pulse tube refrigerator are investigated. The time-averaged pressure drop of the regenerator in 50Hz oscillating flow is two to three times higher than that in steady flow. Pressure drops and phase shifts of the regenerators are correlated with the structure and the working conditions. The correlation is based on the experimental data of a 50Hz pulse tube refrigerator connected to an orifice valve and a reservoir.
