Phase Transitions in the Thermopower of TTF-TCNQ Single Crystals

  • Chapter
Book cover Thermoelectricity in Metallic Conductors

Abstract

We report the b-axis thermoelectric power of single crystal TTF-TCNQ in the temperature range from 30 K to 65 K. From the thermoelectric power measurement we can observe clearly two of the three phase transitions found in the structure studies. In the vicinity of the principal metal-insulator phase transition, the data were analyzed to compare with the results of electrical resistivity and specific heat.
