Abstract
It is suggested that the main features of the observed temperature-dependence of S at temperatures below 15 K in Cu, Ag and Au should be interpreted as a change in the dominant electron scattering mechanism. The outstanding result is then that S for the ideally pure metals is strongly negative below about 10 K.
