Abstract

Measurements of the high magnetic field limit of the Nernst-Ettingshausen coefficient of both compensated and uncompensated metals can be used to isolate the effect of electron-phonon mass enhancement on thermoelectricity. We describe what is measured in each case and why, and review the experimental results which have been obtained.
