Abstract
In this chapter resistive voltage drop on power supply lines is analyzed with respect to its effect on analog circuit performance. It is shown that proper power supply interconnection design is essential for low-distortion, low-offset, current-mode circuits. The results are particularly applicable to the design of current-mode A/D and D/A converters. Formulas suitable for hand-calculations are derived and design examples are included.
