Anisotropy of Magneto-Optical Properties of (Al,Ga)as Quantum Wells

Part of the NATO ASI Series book series (NSSB, volume 206)

Magneto-optical spectra of undoped GaAs/A1 x Ga1−x As quantum wells grown in [001], [110] and [111] crystal directions are calculated in an effective mass approximation, taking into account exciton mixing interactions. Small but observable effects like different exciton diamagnetic shifts and spin-splittings as well as characteristic exciton fine structures are predicted.
