Precise Measurement of Pressure in High-Frequency Electrodeless Spectral Lamps
The pressure of a buffer gas present in high-frequency electrodeless lamps predetermines in many respects their main features: radiation intensity, radiation stability, longevity, ignition voltage, reproducibility of parameters, etc. On the other hand, the gas-pressure is a parameter that can be used for the diagnostic of spectral lamps, i.e., the proof of similarity of different lamps, for evaluating theoretical predictions compared to real processes, and for monitoring of the aging of lamps. Therefore a method, based on double radio-optical resonance techniques, was developed to determine the buffer gas pressure with high accuracy.
