Abstract
Benign diseases of the endometrium can be subdivided into three general categories: inflammatory, neoplastic, and functional abnormalities that may result in disturbances in the maturation pattern of the endometrium. The commonest symptoms are abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic discomfort, and at times infertility.
