Processing Examples

Each of the following examples is a concise “case study,” in which typical formulations are presented, along with problems that often arise in practice, and also some expedients that the author has found useful in solving these problems. The conciseness was considered a virtue in writing this final chapter of the book, with the expectation that the heretofore-patient reader might appreciate a bit less verbosity at this point. However, an intensely interested reader might be on the lookout for some of the special details which have been tightly compressed into these notes, with the warning that “The Devil is in the details.” For example, a few percent change in the amount of binder could cause a host of problems.
