Abstract
Physical control of mosquitoes in the broadest sense focuses on a) the reduction of mosquito breeding sources by sanitation, b) the modification of the breeding habitats to discourage mosquito breeding and to encourage the development of mosquito predators (water management); c) the modification of the air-water interface by applying surface layers to prevent the uptake of oxygen by mosquito larvae and pupae; d) the reduction of mosquito-human contact.
