Abstract

The first observations of guided magnetoelastic bulk waves were carried out in ferrimagnetic rods, ellipsoids, etc. (LeCraw and Comstock, 1965; Strauss, 1966; Auld, 1971). However, in later investigations, magnetoelastic surface waves were excited on planar structures such as flat ferrimagnetic substrate and multilayers consisting of ferrimagnetic films and other media.
