Abstract
The S statistical programming language from AT&T Bell Labs, and its commercially distributed extension, S-plus, are popular environments for development of new statistical analysis applications. A freely available package of S/S-plus functions contributed by Terry Therneau can be used to carry out proportional hazards and parametric survival analyses with censored data.
