Abstract

This Chapter discusses on some relevant standardization initiatives for B2B Electronic Commerce. We examine content standards, standards for catalog and document structures, and we discuss recent web standards used to serialize the syntax and to define the semantics of the representations. Finally, we provide a survey of existing standardization approaches relevant to B2B electronic commerce.
