Abstract
Tea, which was discovered in China in BC 3000 or earlier, has been regarded as a beverage with medicinal effects, which imparts a good feeling to both mind and body. Tea was introduced to Japan from China, and with the establishment of tea fields throughout the country the popularity of tea among Japanese people grew.
