The State of Enzyme Isolation Technology

Abstract

In the last ten years the study of large-scale enzyme isolation has not kept pace with the tremendous growth of work on enzyme immobilization and enzyme reactors. Figure 1 shows the difference in trends as mirrored by publications in the journal Biotechnology and Bioengineering, a reasonably representative index. The difference is very striking.
