Abstract
Fruits are botanically classified as those plant parts that house seeds; in other words, they are mature plant ovaries. Fruit includes tomatoes and a few others that are considered as vegetables in the supermarket. Because the popular definition of fruit applies only to what is naturally sweet and what is normally used in desserts, it is understandable that, for example, tomatoes and olives are treated as vegetables.
