Abstract
It was noted previously that autosolvation, caused by the polarized displacement of univalent undissociated cations in polar structural units, plays an essential part in the electrolytic dissociation of borosilicates [1], In addition, polarization is also observed under the action of an external field causing, to some extent, this type of displacement and in this way lowering the conductivity. These phenomena must be examined before we begin to compare the experimental quantitative data on electrical conductivity with the theoretical calculations.
