Abstract

It is known that a minimum-effect exists in the electrical conductivity of borate and silicate glasses containing two types of cations with a total concentration [M]s ≥ 8·10-3mole/ml. A complete classification of the physical character of this effect requires a careful, quantitative analysis of the basic parameters Pe = B10-log [M] and ΨΦ =4.6 A10R, where A10 and B10 are the coefficients in the conductivity equation lnи= -A/T + B after it has been converted to logarithm base 10.
