Abstract

Until now we have been concerned primarily with diffusional aspects of animal movements. When such problems as the dispersal of muskrats or the critical size of plankton patches were discussed, only the simplest aspects of population dynamics, i.e., exponential growth and simple diffusion, were taken into account.
