Abstract
When more than two devices are to be connected together so that any one can communicate with any other, the connections are termed a bus. Obviously there must be a certain amount of standardization for all the devices to be compatible, and a large number of standard specifications have been issued by various organizations:
-
Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE);
-
Engineering Industries Association (EIA);
-
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC);
-
British Standards Institution (BSI).
