More on Q-Analysis

We go now to more applied matters. In view of much recent work on “transmutation” involving q-special functions (see e.g. [24, 25, 135, 153, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 411, 493], without any reference to our exten-sive theory in [76, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114], we feel obliged to look at this subject again with a view toward extending some previous work to a quantum group context. Thus we recall first some basic ideas from Section 1.1.1 and [400, 402, 411].
