Abstract

Crushing and pulverizing reduces the material to a uniform size, or to a graduation of sizes for immediate use or further processing. The various manufacturers make specialized crushers for various processes, such as reduction of long coils of metals into short lengths, reduction in size of run-of-mine coal down to one inch and under in one operation, and crushing of rock or ores, grinding garbage, bone shredding, etc. In addition, the equipment manufacturers have, during the years, assembled a vast amount of data on all products, and their advice should be solicited.
