Lda With Variable Frequency Shift

This paper will discuss various methods of optical and electronic frequency shift as used with a laser doppler anemometer system. Specifically, an opto-electronic system that allows a stable frequency shift variable from 10 KHz to 50 MHz will be covered. The system combines a fixed shift from a Bragg cell and an electronic shift; resulting from the mixing of the detector signal with a variable local oscillator. The advantages of using this system with tracker or counter processing will be explained.
