Abstract
Both the number of papers published in the scientific literature and the number of professional society meetings in the field of neural networks are growing rapidly. A number of technical disciplines are involved in the wide variety of university, government and industrial-based activities and studies. Psychologists, neurobiologists, neurophysiologists, mathematicians, physicists, computer scientists, and engineers are studying the issues of neural networks, formulating new theories, proposing new architectures, fast algorithms and implementations.
