Abstract
The enthalpy measurements on Cs2MoO4 reported in this paper were carried out as part of a calorimetric program to study compounds of interest in reactor technology. Cs2MoO4 may be produced in the uraniaplutonia fuel elements of a liquid-metal fast-breeder reactor (LMFBR) since both cesium and molybdenum have been observed in the oxide-clad interface region of the fuel pin. Therefore, thermodynamic data are needed to predict the conditions of formation of Cs2MoO4 and its stability.
