Application of Scanning Calorimetry to Petroleum Oil Oxidation Studies

  • F. Noel

The purpose of this paper is to indicate the potential in applying Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) to petroleum oil oxidation studies. The practical value of this approach appears to he extensive; hut the understanding remains meager, and much more work is required to develop techniques and understanding. Hopefully, this paper will stimulate additional research in this area.
