Ultrasound in Normal and High-Risk Pregnancy

  • Chapter
Advances in Perinatal Medicine

Zusammenfassung

The last 10 to 15 years have been characterized by unprecedented advances in perinatal technology. A wide range of biochemical and biophysical monitoring techniques have been introduced into our daily perinatal care. Several of these techniques turned out to be rather nonspecific and have therefore been abandoned. Others like amniocentesis, fetal cardiography, fetal microblood analysis, and ultrasound are now well established in everyday practice.
