In response to the phone call offering a manuscript for five thousand pounds, Dr. Fysst set out for Roskilde and took along his associate Thomas Gray in the canvas shopping bag. The local train sped west from Copenhagen through village after village: Roedovre, Albertslund, Hoeje Taastrup, Hedehusene, Trekroner.
