Abstract
When confronted by a break in the slope on the track they wish to ski, skiers may reduce the time they spend airborne by prejumping the break. The following calculations quantitatively demonstrate the effect of such prejumping. Refer to Fig. 5.5, p. 121, which illustrates the slope break we will take for our example.
