Abstract
Reduced growth in early life increases the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in later life, but studies of the consequences of early diet, especially breastfeeding and. formula feeding, on CVD or CVD risk factors have been conflicting (Owen et al. 2002, 2003; Leesonetal. 2001).
