Abstract
Strokes of all types have yet to yield to any past or current medical intervention. Preventing stroke is much easier than treating it, as in other forms of vascular disorders, such as ischemic heart disease. In spite of dramatic claims for the prevention of coronary heart disease in both lay and medical media, a review of scientific evidence suggests that they are premature.
He that will not apply new remedies must expect new evils; for time is the greatest innovator.
