Complete Atrioventricular Canal

Abstract

The pioneering work in the 1960s by Rastelli and his colleagues23,24 at the Mayo Clinic defined the anatomy of atrioventricular (AV) canal defects and developed a rational approach to surgical correction. Continued refinement of their basic principles has resulted in a surgical approach that is reproducible and predictable in its outcome.9
