International Perspective Selayang Hospital: A Paperless and Filmless Environment in Malaysia

Abstract

Selayang Hospital has set a milestone in Malaysian history for being the first hospital in the country to create a “paperless and filmless” environment for its outpatient and inpatient services. The fully integrated information system in Selayang Hospital is known as the Total Hospital Information System (THIS), which encapsulates integration between clinical (including imaging and critical care), financial, and administration systems.

Successfully operational for 3 years, Selayang Hospital in Malaysia integrates clinical, administrative, and financial functions in a totally paperless environment.
