Waves in Hot Magnetized Plasmas

The analysis of small-amplitude waves propagating in a hot plasma, presented in the previous chapter, is now extended to anisotropic plasmas immersed in an externally applied magnetic field. Emphasis is given to the study of plasma waves having their propagation vector k either parallel or perpendicular to the externally applied magnetostatic field.
